Supporting students with exam anxiety: In conversation with Natasha Devon

Join us for a timely discussion on how best to support students through exam season using tried and tested evidence-based tips and strategies, with mental health expert, Natasha Devon MBE.

Natasha Devon MBE is a writer, presenter & activist. She tours schools and events throughout the world, delivering talks and conducting research on mental health, body image, gender & equality. She presents on LBC every Saturday and writes regularly for Grazia Magazine and The Evening Standard. Natasha founded the Mental Health Media Charter which scrutinises the way mental health is discussed and reported in media. She is co-founder of Where’s Your Head At, a campaign to improve mental health provision in work places across England and Wales.

Natasha is a Fellow of The University of Wales: Aberystwyth as well as an ambassador for charities Glitch UK, The Reading Agency and No Panic. She is a certified instructor for Mental Health First Aid England and eating disorder charity Beat. In 2015 she was awarded an MBE for her services to young people.

She has written non-fiction titles ‘A Beginner’s Guide to Being Mental: An A-Z’ for adults and ‘Yes You Can: Ace School Without Losing Your Mind’ for young people aged 12+. Her debut novel ‘Toxic’ was published in July 2022 and is about coercive control in friendship. ‘Clicks: How to be Your Best Self Online’ will be published in May 2023

Dr Steve Murray MCCT, Lead Practitioner for Data and Research at Orchard School Bristol and Trust Leader in Education for Trust in Learning Academies (TiLA). Steve has a MSc and PhD in Climate Science and has taught geography in a number of secondary schools in North Bristol. He also has experience in middle and senior leadership, with both pastoral and pedagogical responsibility.
