Dealing with the dissonance

For many of us, engaging with research can be a daunting and uncomfortable experience, as we wrestle with hidden academic insecurities and experience tension as new knowledge clashes with our established ways of thinking. If we want to embed a culture of research in schools, where there is a shared belief in the importance of inquiry and a demand for data-driven decision-making, then we need to equip our staff with strategies to overcome these challenges.
