About the study:
The research explores the relationships between autistic traits, camouflaging (sometimes referred to as masking) and subjective wellbeing within the UK teaching population. Participants do not need to identify as autistic or believe that they have autistic traits to take part, as the study is interested in individual differences across the wider teaching population.
Eligibility:
Participants must be aged 18 or over and currently working as a qualified primary or secondary school teacher in the UK. Individuals with a formal diagnosis of autism are kindly asked not to participate.
Participation:
The study involves an anonymous online questionnaire covering background information, autistic traits, camouflaging and teacher subjective wellbeing. It takes approximately 15–20 minutes to complete. Participation is entirely voluntary, and the study has received ethical approval through the University of Wolverhampton.
